By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The founder and publisher of Sahara Reporters, and also the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2023 general election has hit Buhari over his comment to relocate to the Niger Republic.
Omoyele Sowore stated that there is no hiding place for “Wicked” Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari.
He added that Buhari must pay for his crimes.
Buhari had earlier stated that he will relocate to the Niger Republic from Daura, Katsina State if he was disturbed.
He stated this at the State House Abuja when hosting some residents led by Minister Muhammad Musa Bello, on Eid-el-Fitir Sallah homage.
“I can’t wait to go home to Daura. If they make any noise to disturb me in Daura, I will leave for the Niger Republic. I deliberately arranged to be as far away as possible” Buhari stated.
“I got what I wanted and will quietly retire to my home town. Despite technology, it will not be easy to get to Daura.” He added.
Reacting to this, the AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore said that, no matter how long it takes, Buhari would pay for his crimes.
“Till the end of time, your atrocities will fish you out. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, it won’t matter where you hide, you will answer for your crimes. #Revolutionnow”. Sowore stated.
Recall, in 2019, immediately after the presidential election, Omoyele Sowore called for a revolutionary protest which rocks Abuja and Lagos, days before the protest started, he was arrested by the DSS at the order of President Muhammad Buhari.
Omoyele Sowore spent five months in detention before he was granted bail and he was on house arrest for three years. He regained his movement freedom in February 2022.
