13 BRIGADE HONOURS DEPARTING OFFICERS WITH BEFITTING FAREWELL

In a mark of honour and appreciation, Brigadier General MO Ibrahim, Commander 13 Brigade Nigerian Army, Calabar, today 3 September 2025, hosted a befitting send-forth ceremony in honour of officers recently posted out of the formation. The event reflected the rich traditions of the Nigerian Army in recognizing loyalty, sacrifice, and meritorious service.
The departing officers were Lieutenant Colonel LO Mbam, Captain J Jimoh, and Captain AA Idris.
In his remarks, the Commander commended the officers for their resilience, hard work, and exceptional contributions to the operational effectiveness of the Brigade. He described them as consummate professionals who embodied the Army’s core values of loyalty, discipline, and selfless service to the nation.
Brigadier General Ibrahim further encouraged them to sustain their good character, integrity, and spirit of excellence, urging them to remain the best versions of themselves and shining ambassadors of 13 Brigade wherever duty may call.
The colourful ceremony was graced by officers who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing personnel. Highlights of the event included goodwill messages, presentation of souvenirs, and a strong display of camaraderie that underscored the enduring bond of brotherhood within the Nigerian Army.
The occasion not only paid tribute to the officers’ dedicated service but also reaffirmed the Brigade’s tradition of honouring those who have contributed to its success. It was a fitting farewell that captured the pride, unity, and esprit de corps of 13 Brigade Nigerian Army.
