14 killed over communal clash in Benue

Following a communal crisis that occurred at the Oju Local Government Area of Benue state, not less than 14 persons have been killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
According to the report, the crisis started on Sunday when youths of the Ibila and Oju communities engaged in a bloody clash.
Following the clash, the state government imposed a curfew on Community residences in a bid to stop the violence.
The Igede youth leader, Andyson Egbodo maintained that some persons had died from both sides and properties destroyed.
However, the Igede Council Youth leader, Andyson Egbodo, stated that normalcy had returned to the communities.
