2023: Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, others sign peace accord

Ahead of Saturday February 25, 2023 general election, some leading presidential candidates including Bola Tinubu (All Progressives Congress, APC), Peter Obi (Labour Party, LP), Omoyele Sowore (African Action Congress, AAC), Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP) have signed a peace accord.

The ceremony was witnessed by president Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the presidential candidates who signed the peace accord agreed to accept the outcome of the election.

President Muhammadu Buhari thanked the presidential candidates for accepting to maintain peace, law and order.
