20th Coronation Day 1: Ogulagha Kingdom Buzzes As HRM King Timiyan Begins Royal Tour

Ogulagha Kingdom is celebrating a major milestone – the 20th coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt.) King Joseph I. Timiyan, JP, Ph.D, Torububou I, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. The celebrations, which began on today November 10, 2025, will culminate on November 12, 2025, with a grand finale at the King’s Palace, Obotobo 1 Community, Ogulagha Kingdom.
The celebration began by a royal tour by the paramount ruler to communities that make up the kingdom, moving from Ogulagha to Obotobo1, 2, Sokebolou and others.
The monarch’s 20-year reign has been marked by peace, unity, and development, earning him admiration and respect from his people and beyond. He has championed community development, promoted cultural heritage, and advocated for peace and progress in the Niger Delta region.
The celebrations will feature cultural events, a royal tour, and a novelty football match, with performances by renowned Ijaw musicians, including Alfred Izon-Ebi and his Because of Love Band.
Dignitaries expected at the event include Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, and other top government officials.
