3rd Phase Amnesty Delegates Rally Behind Tinubu, Tompolo, Otuaro, Warn Against Attacks on Ijaw Leaders
By Monday Peters, Abuja
The Third Phase Amnesty Delegates, led by National Chairman Gen. Godstime Ogidigba, have organized a solidarity rally at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja, expressing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), and Chief Dennis Otuaro.
The group has called on the Inspector General of Police, the Commissioner of Police FCT, and the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, to prevent any group from tarnishing the reputation of Ijaw leaders in the Niger Delta and Nigeria. They warned against attempts to disrupt the peace and stability of the region, citing the efforts of Tompolo’s Tantita security services in boosting oil production and the Nigerian economy.
The delegates expressed appreciation for Tompolo’s contributions to the nation’s economy and vowed to protect him and other Ijaw leaders, including Dennis Otuaro, against any threats or attacks. They also gave a vote of confidence to President Tinubu’s re-election bid, assuring him of their support in the 2027 elections.
The group emphasized that working against Tompolo and other leaders is equivalent to fighting against peace and the economic welfare of the country. They reiterated their commitment to supporting President Tinubu, Tompolo, Dennis Otuaro, and other Ijaw leaders, warning against any attempts to undermine their efforts.
