4 students missing, 11 rescued as boat capsizes in Calabar

About three medical students who travelled to Calabar to attend Nigerian Medical Students Association, NIMSA Health Week hosted by the Medical School in Calabar were missing and other eleven students were also rescued as boat in which they were travelling capsized.

The incident occured on Saturday at Calabar River. The missing students and others reportedly went for a tourism at the Marina when the boat capsized.

It was gathered the boat was conveying 15 students of different medical universities in Nigeria when the sad incident happened.

According to report, rescue operations are still ongoing which included the Navy and other security operatives.
