70% of Nigerian Organisations Now Embrace Continuous Learning – CIPM

By Diafa Doubra,
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has revealed that about 70 percent of organisations in the country now prioritize continuous learning as part of their growth strategy.
Speaking at the launch of the institute’s HR Leadership Academy in Lagos, CIPM President, Mallam Ahmed Ladan Gobir, stressed that the future of work demands a workforce equipped with modern skills, particularly in human resources. He explained that the academy was established to build the capacity of HR professionals and ensure they are adequately prepared for emerging workplace challenges.
Gobir noted that organisations are increasingly investing in re-skilling and upskilling initiatives to boost productivity and remain competitive in a fast-changing business environment. He also emphasized the need for HR practitioners to adopt global best practices while tailoring them to Nigeria’s unique economic realities.
The new academy is expected to provide structured programmes that will enhance leadership, innovation, and strategic thinking among HR professionals across sectors.
