IGP orders arrest of notorious Imo monarch parading with guns

Following a public allegations and petition to the police, the inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Ahmed has ordered the investigation into alleged inhumane behaviour of Imo traditional ruler, Eze Ositadimma Nwokoche, the Adakam Amumara Autonomous.

It was reported that the traditional ruler usually hired some armed men to threaten, terrorize and attack the community members.

Following the continuous inhumane behaviour by the traditional ruler, the community members of Okpanku Village wrote a Save Our Soul (SOS) letter to the IGP.

The IGP in response to the letter directed the men of Nigeria Police Force to commence immediate investigation through Imo Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Barde

According to the letter, which was signed by the IGP’s Principal Staff Officer, CSP Idris Abubakar, was sent to the state police command, the IGP ordered for a thorough investigation of the allegations against the monarch and also to fish out the unknown men he uses to terrorize the community.
