How 13-Year-Old Boy Killed Self Over Accusation of Stealing Phone

A 13-year-old boy killed himself on Sunday, May 7, 2023, after he was falsely accused of stealing a phone.

It was reported that the young boy was accused of stealing a phone which belongs to a passenger he transported on a motorcycle.

Following the trauma, he attempted to stab himself over the false accusation but was cautioned.

He later sneaked out on Sunday early morning, May 7, and hanged himself in Ntantalla, Ndu area of Cameroon, where his lifeless body was discovered.

A Cameroonian Journalist, Tata Benard Gibip, affirmed the sad incident and stated that wondering about the age of the teenager, and how could the allegation push him to commit suicide.

“A thirteen-year-old boy has committed suicide by hanging in Ntantalla, Ndu this Sunday, May 7. Sources say the tragedy began on Saturday with an allegation that he stole a phone from a passenger he transported on a motorcycle, an allegation which he refuted. Tata wrote

“Considering his tender age, many are wondering whether the allegation could push him to take away his life. However, answers, unfortunately, cannot be gotten as the concern of the public raises dust,” he added.
