Tension as deadly blasts rock Air Force Base in Abuja

Tension is heightened in Abuja as deadly blast hits the Nigerian Air Force Base, NAF on Wednesday.

Congress gathered that a fuel storage facility located at NAF Base exploded to huge flames, causing pandemonium in the country’s capital city.

It was learned that the NAF Base is located close to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in FCT.

Though, the level of damage on the NAF base and the cause of the explosion could not be ascertain at the time of reporting.

An eyewitness said there was no casualty recorded.

The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), Air Cdre Ayodele Famuyiwa, confirmed the incident but could not provide further details.
