The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has drgged the Nigerian government to the appeal court in the United kingdom.

Congress gathered that the court would hear Kanu’s extraordinary rendition appeal on June 22, 2023.

Following earlier hearing of the case, the court ruled that the ground for appeal raised important issues.

This was disclosed to newsmen in a statement by Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor on Wednesday.

He said, “In an initial order, the court ruled that the grounds of appeal raise important issues. The appeal will be heard on June 22, 2023. Kudos to Kanu’s family and my colleagues, the Bindmans.”

Recall, the Biafra separatist leader was apprehended in Kenya in June 2022 for agitating for Biafra and was arraigned in court to continue his trial.

Though, despite he had been discharged and acquitted by various courts, the Nigerian government had refused to release Kanu.
