Five Kidnapped Women Rescued As Police Kill Suspected Terrorist

A suspected terrorist has been killed by the men of the Katsina state police command, and rescued five kidnapped women in the Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.

This is confirmed by CSP Gambe Isah, the command’s Public Relations Officer in a statement on Monday 15 May.

Isah narrated that on May 14, 2023, a disturbing call was received that terrorists on motorcycles were shooting continuously with AK47 rifles, attacked Bajinawa Village and kidnapped five women.

He stated that the Area Commander, Dutsinma, swung into action and led a team of policemen to the affected area and engaged the terrorists in a gun duel and successfully repelled them.

During the combat between the terrorists and the men of the Nigeria police command, it was revealed that the corpse of a member of the notorious gang was recovered, believed to have been gunned down during the encounter.

It was also revealed that one AK 47 rifle belonging to the terrorists was recovered.

However, Isah maintained that many terrorists escaped, but the force was still combing the area to arrest the fleeing terrorists or getting their lifeless bodies.
