Bandits abduct 5 Muslim worshipers in Abuja-Kaduna expressway

Armed bandits have reportedly abducted five members of an Islamic group along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway on Sunday.

The victims who are reported to be members of Dawah Tabligh Jammah were abducted on Sunday when they were returning home from a Dawah programme held in Kano State.

According to the source, the victims who are from Oyo state were kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

A member of the group, Mallam Ibrahim Al-Amin, during a phchathart with newsmen on Monday, confirmed the abduction.

He noted: “Between Kaduna and Abuja expressway on Sunday, five of our members were kidnapped. They were coming from the Dawah programme in Kano, which started on Thursday and ended on Sunday. They are members of Dawah Tabligh Jammah, all five of them are from Oyo State.”

However, the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Muhammed Jalige could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
