Fuel Subsidy: President Tinubu Made A Wise, Clever Decision – Fayose

Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose has revealed the reason why president Tinubu removed petroleum subsidy.
Fayose who is a member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, but campaigned against the party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, who is a Northerner insisting on Southern presidency.
The ex+ Ekiti state governor stated that the new president wanted to stabilise Nigeria, and that’s why he announced the removal of fuel subsidy.
He asserted that the president decision was the best and wisest.
Recall, the president made his decision known during the inauguration speech on May 29.
Less than 24 hours after pronouncement, the pump price skyrocketed from between N200-250 to N600, N700 per litre throughout the country.
In a recent statement by the government controlled fuel station, Nigeria National Petroleum Company, NNPC, averred that the current pump price is N500.
The former Ekiti state governor, Fayose reacting to the removal of subsidy, said that the president decision is the best and wisest for the collective good of Nigerians.
