Renowned youth leader in the Ojobo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Timipre Ndoni has charged indigenes of the community to be united and live in love to advance the cause of the community.

This is according to a statement which he signed by himself on Sunday.

Ndoni, however, accused oil multinational companies to be responsible for disunity and crisis among aborigines of the Niger Delta.

While making this remark, he said the leadership and youths of the Ojobo community should give support to the community chairman Adokeme to attract the needed development and government presence in the community.

The statement reads, “I also use this opportunity to call on all aggrieved sons and daughters of the Ojobo community to practice love and unity, embracing unity and love will attract the needed human capital and infrastructural development.

He said, “Support one another irrespective of who you’re in governance. It is our unity that will create fear for SPDC and other IOCs to develop our community. Our disunity gives joy to SPDC and other oil companies in our region. Stop fighting whoever is in the power of communal affairs and support the Ojobo leadership for the common good of the community.

“It may interest you to know that the disunity of the Ojobo community caused the suspension of the inaugural ceremony of the Ojobo community Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) Committee and other benefits. Let’s come together and reason as one Ojobo community and people for greatness.

“I want to advise, to let the leadership led by the acting Amananaowei, and executive chairman of the Ojobo community, Hon. Deinkeme Sunday Adokeme adopt the generally accepted and endorsed Amananaowei designate Chief (Sir) P Z Bribai Derick of Oyateigha (1-5 quarters) of the community for the inauguration and swearing in as the ordained Amananaowei of Ojobo community to pilot the affairs of the traditional institution of the community,” he added.
