Kogi: ADC denies collapsing structure for PDP, Melaye

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The Kogi chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has denied suggestions that it collapsed its structure into another party ahead of the governorship election in the state.
ADC chairman in Kogi, Adaji John, clarified a statement on Sunday, August 13.
Adaji was reacting to reports that the Ida Local Government chairman of the ADC, Adejo Ameadaji, had dumped the party and collapsed its structure into that of Dino Melaye, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the election.
He stressed that the ADC candidate, Leke Abejide, remains in contention to become the Kogi state governor and that Melaye might have been scammed.
He maintained that the development is purely fake and a move to extort Dino, the governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He stated that the face shown in the video is not an ADC party member.
“Those faceless persons led by the ghost Adejoh Haruna whom the camera intentionally didn’t capture, must have played on the low intelligence of Melaye or to pay him back in his coins – because it is in the public domain that Melaye is a scammer and mentor of scammers. This is purely a case of ‘scamming the scammer’, ” Adaji stated
He however urged the electorates to disregard the news adding that ADC is still in contention for the governorship election in Kogi state.
