PDP asked me to accept Tinubu’s appointment as minister – Wike

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The newly appointed minister of Federal Capital City, Abuja, Nyesom Wike, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gave him go ahead to accept the ministerial position under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The former Rivers State Governor who once referred to PDP leaders as dancers for threatening to sanction him, said the party was informed before he accepted the ministerial position.
Wike maintained that no one can mention his enemy, stating that what’s circulating in the media is propaganda.
However, he stressed that he didn’t like people who don’t tell the truth.
He added that the PDP governors wrote a letter and nominated ten persons to be appointed by the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike said that when the appointment came, he wrote all Peoples Democratic Party, and PDP leaders about the latest development.
He added that he has evidence to back up his claims.
However, they maintained that PDP lost the 2023 presidential election due to arrogance and impunity.
