New-year vibes: Ijansa, Ijelejele, lkeremor Communities Gathered To Celebrate Ama-benemo Cultural Festival

The hilarious End of Year maiden “Ama-benemo” Cultural Festival of the ancient ljansa, Ijelejele, lkeremor Federated Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has just been concluded with a host of activities.

The end of year cultural festival was aimed at bringing together the illustrious sons and daughters of ljansa, Ijelejele, lkeremor Federated Community of both home and abroad to celebrate in unison, the achievement, safety, successes and divine protection enjoyed by the Community in the face of life’s uncertainties.

 

The organisers of the event said the Festival is to be celebrated every end of the year to showcase the rich culture of the community through the lens of cultural dance, masquerade display and other activities.

 

Meantime, High Chief Benjamin Ekeremor, alias Tompolo’s wisdom with his entourage and other personalities were present to grace the great literal display of Art and Culture of Ijaw women in their colours, costumes and in the spirit of Ama-benemo Fiesta.

 

While the music display was done by Chief Kingsley Takembo, the women and youths spiced up the Fiesta with a colourful dance performance and other side attractions to make the call to home festival a memorable one.

 

The event planning committee chairman, Ezekiel Alokpa Ekime, however expressed gratitude to guests and dignitaries who attended the maiden edition of the Ama-benemo Cultural Fiesta.
