Tension Looms as Suspected Itsekiri Youths Allegedly Burn Down Akpata Community in Delta 

A devastating incident occurred in Gbaramatu kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Are of Delta State as suspected Itsekiri youths have been accused of burning down Akpata community in the kingdom.

Congress gathered that the community was also a base of Tantita Security Services unit responsible for safeguarding the Akpata Unit Well 10 oil facility, which was completely destroyed.

This is coming on the heels of another yet to be confirmed report that some Itsekiri youths attacked Ijaws in a tricycle at Okere road, Warri, at yesterday’s evening.

Sources who said the situation if not well managed would escalate the brewing tension in Warri, alleged that both incidents happened yesterday night.
