I’m Not Desperate to Be President — Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said he is not desperate to become Nigeria’s president, insisting that his political ambition has always been driven by service and not personal gain.
Atiku, who has contested for the presidency multiple times, explained that leadership should not be seen as a do-or-die affair. He noted that his focus remains on strengthening democracy, promoting unity, and ensuring that Nigeria works for all citizens.
He stressed that while he remains committed to the nation’s progress, the ultimate decision rests with Nigerians, adding that his political journey is guided by the will of the people rather than desperation for power.
