NAF Airstrikes Wipe Out Terrorists’ Enclave in Borno

By Diafa Doubra,
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its troops under Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised several terrorists and destroyed their hideouts in Borno State.
Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, NAF spokesperson, confirmed this in a statement yesterday, noting that the airstrikes were conducted in the Gezuwa general area of Bula Madibale after surveillance detected unusual movements of insurgents.
He explained that the strikes were launched following intelligence reports indicating the gathering of fighters and logistics at the location. “The interdictions were precise and devastating, leaving scores of terrorists neutralised and their enclave completely decimated,” he stated.
Gabkwet added that the operation forms part of ongoing efforts by the military to weaken the capacity of insurgent groups in the North East and restore lasting peace to the region.
