Soldiers Jailed for Supplying Arms as Nursing Mother’s Abduction Sparks Outrage

By Diafa Doubra,
A nursing mother has been abducted in a fresh wave of insecurity, even as three soldiers have been sentenced to jail for illegally supplying arms to terrorists.
Reports from security agencies revealed that the nursing mother was seized by armed men in a community raid, sparking panic among residents who have called for urgent intervention. Meanwhile, in a separate development, a military court found three soldiers guilty of conspiring to sell weapons and ammunition to terrorists, a crime described as “a betrayal of national trust.”
Authorities said the conviction of the soldiers sends a strong message that the armed forces will not tolerate acts of sabotage within its ranks. Security operatives have also intensified rescue efforts to secure the release of the abducted woman, assuring citizens that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
