Prof. Makau Kaura UDUS: Our University never witness acts of cultism

A renowned Islamic Professor and former Deputy Vice chancellor of Usumanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, Professor Jafaru Makau Kaura attributed the non-existence of cultism in the University to the activities of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN).
Professor Kalau Kaura made this pronouncement while delivering his goodwill message at a lecture presentation titled “Empowering the (Ummah) Nation, Challenges to face….” held in Kaura Namoda Federal Polytechnic.
Professor Jafaru Makau narrated how the religious body overcame a horrible and strange problem that threw female Hostels into confusion, disorder and disorganized by the manifestation of an evil spirit code named “Kato”.
“In 1992, a strange phenomenon code name “Kato” used to appear in the female Hostels every night, creating fears and disorder leading to Female students to scattered and vacate their Hostels shouting and scouting for help. Professor Kalau narrated.
“I worked with the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) at Usumanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, when I was the Dean Students Affairs and I saw their influences and how they delivered, I believe the union is capable of handling immorality and checking any dangerous acts in our higher institutions of learning through their eloquence in propagating Islamic teachings without extremism or taking side. Prof. Makau stated.
Professor Kalau Kaura also said, the University stands to be the most peaceful University in Nigeria and that successes must be attributed to the activities of the MSSN in the University.
“Believe me, the university championed to be the most peaceful in Nigeria as a result of MSSN activities. Prof. Kaura said.
The Guest speaker and former National President of MSSN Jamil Muhammad Jamil Lapai said, the Nation can be empowered through moral upbringing, fear of God and purposeful leadership.
