Troops Arrest Two Fake Police Officers, Intercept Vehicles Laden With Cannabis In Taraba

Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested two fake police officers and intercepted two Toyota Hilux vehicles laden with 1,134 blocks of cannabis in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
He identified the suspects as Monday George and Ezeugo Destiny Uche, who were apprehended while dressed in mobile police uniforms.
According to the statement, the occupants of the second Hilux vehicle abandoned it and fled the scene upon sighting the troops.
The Nigerian Army said the arrested suspects and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution.
