2027 Election Will Be a Walkover for Tinubu — Jandor

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has predicted that the 2027 presidential election will be an easy victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Jandor made the remark while addressing journalists in Lagos on Thursday. He stated that the current political landscape clearly favors Tinubu, adding that the opposition parties have failed to present a united and credible alternative capable of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, most Nigerians who criticized Tinubu before the 2023 polls have now realized that his strong political structure and grassroots network give him a major advantage over rivals. Jandor further noted that unless the opposition gets its act together and begins to mobilize early, Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 “will be a walkover.”

The former PDP candidate also used the opportunity to call for unity within the opposition, urging party leaders to put aside personal interests and work toward a common goal.

Jandor’s comment has stirred mixed reactions across the political space, with some seeing it as a call for realistic strategy within the opposition, while others view it as a sign of weakening faith in the PDP’s ability to challenge the APC in 2027.
