Police Arrest Notorious Armed Robber and Hired Assassin in Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a notorious armed robber and hired assassin said to be responsible for a series of violent attacks and killings in parts of the state.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, the suspect was apprehended following an intelligence-led operation conducted by detectives from the command’s special unit. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect, whose identity was withheld, had been on the police watchlist for several months due to his involvement in multiple armed robbery operations and targeted assassinations.

During the arrest, police recovered several incriminating items, including firearms, live ammunition, and charms believed to be used for protection during operations. The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation, with authorities assuring the public that more arrests will follow as investigations continue.

The Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their bravery and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents, warning other criminal elements to steer clear of Lagos or face the full wrath of the law.
