Zamfara State Assembly PDP Candidate in the last bye-Election switch to opposition APC as many PDP leaders soon join

The Zamfara State Assembly bye-election candidate of the Kaura Namoda South dumped the state ruling party PDP to opposition APC.
Hon. Muhammad Lawal Kurya Madaro, who was fielded by the ruling PDP in the state.
The state Publicly Secretary of the party Mal Yusuf Idris while welcoming the decampee said, the same ruling party PDP was devastated and now ended in apportioning blames.
“The state ruling party that suffered incontestable defeated, leaving the PDP devastated and apportioning blames among themselves and their leaders. Idris said.
The APC won with a landslide victory defeating the ruling party in the state.
“The last bye-Election in the state has taken a dramatic turn which culminating into what election pundits will describe as self realisation when the PDP candidate in the said election decided to join the APC having realised that the PDP is a failed political party. The publicity Secretary stated
Declaring his loyalty to the APC at a crowded event organised by Hon Yazid Shehu Danfulani Project which was held at the Taula Event Center, Gusau.
Hon Muhammad Lawal Kurya Madaro said his exit from the PDP was informed by the lack of direction that characterised his former political party.
He also pointed out that he realised that during the by-election, over 90 percent of the electorate, especially the youth, are APC supporters in spite of the fact that PDP was in charge in the state.
Hon Muhammad Lawal Kurya Madaro assured his loyalty and his supporters to APC.
“We will work for the betterment and success of the APC in the state and beyond. Lawal Kurya said.
Receiving the new entrants led by Hon Kurya Madaro, the state APC Publicity Secretary, Hon Yusuf Idris Gusau expressed happiness over the development assuring that the APC will continue to be the party to beat in Zamfara State.
The Publicity Secretary also assured them that the APC would treat them equally with all other members without segregation and urged them to remain good citizens and law abiding to attract more members.
Hon Yusuf used the occasion to thank the party leaders of the state especially former governors Bello Mohammed Matawalle now Minister of State for Defence and Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar now Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for their purposeful leadership.
“I’m optimistic that APC will definitely reclaimed Zamfara comes 2027 considering the acceptance and the unity of the party in the state.
Idris further said many PDP leaders across the board in the state will soon join APC as plans have already been concluded on the project.
