Again a wave of defections swept another Serving member, six PDP wards executives in Zamfara

The Zamfara State member House of Assembly under the platform of Peoples Democratic party PDP switched to APC alongside with his six wards party executives.

Hon. Maharazu Salisu Faru representing Maradun west and the PDP leader of Maradun center (Maradun West) said he decided to dumped their former political platform after a wide consultation with his people.

“We up rooted all the PDP structures of Maradun West to join APC as the state ruling party PDP had sidelined our people despite their contributions to the emergence of PDP administration in the state. Maharazu said

Hon. Maharazu Faru also said, all the PDP executives of six political wards of Maradun West and more than 1,200 party members joined his defection train.

“Zamfara PDP administration was imbalanced and biased as they refused to give my constituency any appointment but we surely enjoyed the previous administration of APC. The Lawmaker said.

Presenting the decampees to the state APC chairman, former state party chairman, Lawal .M Liman said, the defections of the serving Lawmaker and his people is a great development to the APC at the state and National level.

“I congratulate all our party leaders and supporters for this wonderful achievement. Lawal Liman said.

Receiving the decampees, the state APC chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani directed the Maradun Local Government party chairman to carry the new party members along and assured them of equal treatment.

Alhaji Tukur Danfulani further revealed that many closed associates of Governor Dauda Lawal will soon join the APC.

“We have many people closed to the Governor that shown their interest and are ready to dump their appointments to join APC and you will soon see them publicly, we are just waiting for the arrival of our state party leaders, Sen. Yari and State minister for Defence Bello Matawalle to officially receive them and I assured the serving member and his people that we will treat and handle them with justice and fairness. Danfulani revealed.

Speaking earlier, on behalf of the six ward chairmen, Ahmad Lawal, the ward chairman of Magamin Diddi/ Faru, Youth leader of Faru and the party elder of the zone said, PDP will never see green light in the zone and APC had done well to their people in terms of provision of social amenities and allocating of political appointments.

“We blocked all chances of APC winning in the last general elections but the party we worked for its success never recognized our roles, we now therefore decided to switch to APC. If not because of the APC roles to ensure peace and address our security challenges in Maradun West during its leadership in the state our villages would have been totally deserted. The decampees stated.
