By Micheal Chukwuebuka
It has been confirmed that the two trailers with registration numbers NNY 236 XA (Yobe) and GAS 330 XA (Taraba), earlier intercepted at the Numan Bridge, were carrying about 550 travelers.
Eyewitnesses reported that after profiling, about 50% of the travelers were from Maradi in Nigér Republic, while others were from Yobe and Katsina States.

The passengers could not give any clear reason for their mass movement, raising security concerns.
A joint team of Immigration, Police, and Military later escorted the group back to the Adamawa-Gombe boundary with instructions to return to where they are coming from pending further clarification.
The Police Commissioner, Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Immigration Service were highly commended for their quick action in protecting the state.
