Ozobo, Ezekiel, Others Celebrate As Woyengibarakemi Diriyai Elevated to Brig. General

Prominent Niger Delta Activists Comrade Ozobo Austin and Comrade Daniel Ezekiel have congratulated Colonel Woyengibarakemi Diriyai for his recent promotion as Brig General in the Nigerian Army.
The duo described the new feat as a momentous and commendable, saying there is a great joy and jubilation in the Niger Delta region for the promotion of Colonel Woyengibarakemi Diriyai, a distinguished son of Izon Nation from Kaima Town, Bayelsa State, to the rank of Brig General.
This achievement has sent shockwaves of joy and celebration throughout the Ijaw nation, with many hailing it as a testament to Diriyai’s unwavering dedication and service to the nation- the duo added.
Congress News gathered that during his tenure as Chief of Staff, 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Benin City, Edo State, Diriyai’s exceptional leadership qualities and professionalism earned him widespread recognition and admiration from his colleagues and superiors alike. His humility, accessibility, and down-to-earth nature had made him a beloved figure in the region.
According to them, the promotion is all the more significant as Diriyai becomes the only Izon individual from the Niger Delta region to achieve this feat in the list of the current military promotion, making it a moment of great pride and celebration for the Izon Nation. As preparations are underway for Diriyai to receive his new rank, Comrade Ezekiel Daniel and Comrade Ozobo are calling on the Izon National Congress (INC), Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), and the Bayelsa State Government to join in celebrating this remarkable achievement.
“We see this as news of the year, and it’s a heartwarming moment for the Izon Nation,” said Comrade Ezekiel Daniel, Spokesperson for the Coalition of Riverine Communities, Niger Delta. “We urge the leadership to roll out the drum in a very loud way and send representatives to Abuja to celebrate this heroic achievement.”
