Police Celebrates 70 years of Women in Police Force

The Zamfara State Police Command celebrated the 70th Anniversary of Nigeria Police Women services in the force.
Zamfara state command described the women services in Police Force as a historic milestone that reflects decades of dedication, courage, and exceptional service to the nation.
As part of the activities marking the event, female police officers of the Command paid a home visit to retired senior female officers. During the visit, the team celebrated with the retirees and commended them for their selfless service, professionalism, and remarkable contributions to the Nigeria Police Force during their years of active duty.

In continuation of the programme, the female officers also visited the Nigeria Police Secondary School, Gusau, where they sensitized the students particularly young girls on the pivotal roles women play in policing and nation-building. They encouraged the students to consider careers in the Nigeria Police Force, reassuring them that women continue to excel in diverse responsibilities within the service.

Additionally, the officers paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Gusau, where they provided financial assistance to support patients with medical bills.

The Zamfara State Police Command, under the able leadership of CP Maikaba psc+ remains committed to promoting gender inclusiveness, supporting female officers, and recognizing their invaluable contributions to security and peace building across the State and the nation.
