Matawalle to Defected LG PDP Chair: Such Political calculations will free Zamfara from indirect slavery

Zamfara state APC chairman Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani has presented former Kaura Namoda local government PDP chairman Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma to the Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency Hon. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle to formally welcome him into the state APC family.

Tukur Danfulani said ” Your Excellency we are in your place to present the former Kaura Namoda PDP chairman Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma who resigned his PDP chairmanship position in Kaura Namoda local government and joined APC while you were out of the country representing Nigeria on matters of national development.

So as one of the party leaders in Zamfara state, we find it necessary to present him to you to welcome him along with his supporters in the big family of APC in Zamfara and Nigeria at large.”

Welcoming the PDP Chairman Matawalle said APC needs people like Ciroma who plays politics with vision and positive thinking that can assess political leaders and come up with a clear decision to help Zamfara people and remove them from the indirect slavery or marginalization of state indigene by the few members of a cabal of the present government where citizens don’t have access to their resources and turning them into beggars in their own state.

He assured him that APC will give them equal opportunities with good enabling environment like any other member of the party.

Matawalle further said that APC is a party that gives priority welfare that promotes Justice, unity and progress to all party members across board.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Sadiq Abubakar Ciroma said his bold decision to resign his chairmanship position of PDP in Kaura Namoda local government is a result of how he sees APC leaders in Zamfara being given all the necessary attention in these difficult times.

He remarked that PDP members in Zamfara are playing the role of opposition because “we are neglected by governor Dauda Lawal where some of his council members cannot maintain even their houses talk less to providing succour to others, what the government prioritizes, is how to collect revenue from the state electorate at all cost.

Reacting to this development, the Chairman of Kaura Namoda council Chairman Manir Haidara Kaura accused the former PDP Chairman of Kaura Namoda of sabotaging the party even before the just concluded state assembly bye election.

Haidara in a press statement issued in reaction to the defection of the politician insisted that, there were evidence that linked the former Chairman with the Zamfara APC stakeholders and that his attitude during and after the bye-election made the party to suspect him politically.

He noted that, the former Chairman has been accused of revealing the confidential strategies of the PDP ahead of the bye election and also worked openly against the victory of the party.

Haidara also linked the defection of the former state assembly candidate in the bye election Mr. Kurya to personal handiwork of the former Chairman noting that the party is fully aware of the anti party activities by Mr. Sadiq Chiroma.

He noted that, the PDP in Kaura Namoda is grateful to Governor Dauda for his citizens oriented projects he has implemented for the development of the people of Kaura Namoda local government and called on them to to work harder in ensuring that the efforts of the Governor is reciprocated.
