PDP LG Chair Join Matawalle in Zamfara

Zamfara State PDP chairman of Maradun local government area, Alhaji Muttaka Dalhatu has defected to APC along with his exco and other ward chairmen to join Matawalle today at the Minister’s residence in Abuja.

The PDP chairman said their collective decision to abandon the PDP and join Bello Muhammad Matawalle in the APC became necessary considering Matawalle’s immense contributions in addressing the security situation when he was governor of the state as compared to what is happening under the PDP led government with Dauda Lawal as chief executive.

The state party publicity Secretary Malan Yusuf Idris Gusau said, the former PDP Chairman regrets their vote to Gov. Dauda.

“the person we voted for to completely arrest the situation has neglected us busying himself with how to bring down Matawalle to which we will not be a party.”

Alhaji Muttaka said “we have come to the conclusion that Dauda Lawal’s PDP led administration has failed to fulfil all its campaign promises especially regarding security which is known to every well meaning Zamfara citizen. Added that,

“All he is after is to paint Matawalle black again as he did ahead of the 2023 election just to cover his failures, this is what forced us to quit PDP and join Matawalle in APC and to clear ourselves from being part of any plan to paint the former governor black just for political reasons.”

The PDP chairman added that as indigene of Maradun, they will not be party in destroying the hard earned reputation of the minister which is why the entire local government structure collapsed into joining Matawalle in APC “because he is more matured and reliable politically than Dauda Lawal who only dishes out lies to party executives and supporters.

During the declaration, the Chairman was accompanied by Maradun Local government PDP Secretary, Alhaji Sani Ibrahim JB Danbaza, PDP State Assembly aspirant during 2023 elections, Hon. Bashar Muhammad Danbaza, PDP Chairman of Damaga ward, Mallam Umar Attahiru and PDP Youth leader of Gora Namaye ward, Hon. Zayyanu Yakubu and concluded that a date will be fixed soon to receive other PDP executives in Maradun.

Welcoming them into APC, Matawalle congratulated them for joining the Progressives where people are valued and respected with equal opportunities.

He said APC is a party for all where high priority is given to welfare and the wellbeing of all members at all times.

He also appreciated their wise decision to join him in APC and their promise to defend him from any blackmail orchestrated by those who never see good in him.

He assured them of APC determination to accord them all the necessary care and consideration like any member to contribute their quota to the success of the party.

Matawalle maintained that he is happy with their brotherhood support saying words could not be enough to thank them.
