Child Abuse Video Sparks Outrage, Authorities Urged to Act
By Micheal Chukwuebuka
A disturbing video has emerged showing a woman allegedly maltreating a three-month-old baby. The footage, filmed in secret but made available to our source, appears to show the woman, speaking in Yoruba, handling the crying infant aggressively – pulling the baby’s ear, placing their hands behind their back, and striking their belly and chest.
The woman’s comments in the video suggest a lack of empathy for the child’s distress. The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with calls for authorities to take immediate action.
“We strongly condemn this act of violence and demand justice for the innocent child,” the statement read. “Relevant agencies, including NAPTIP and law enforcement, must investigate and ensure the perpetrator faces consequences.”
The video has prompted calls for stricter protection of children’s rights. “Let’s stand together for the protection of children and ensure justice for this vulnerable infant,” the statement added.
The video has been shared on social media, with users expressing outrage and demanding justice for the baby.
