By Micheal Chukwuebuka
Tragedy has struck the inner circle of British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua following the reported deaths of two of his close associates, Latif (popularly known as Latz) and Sina, in a car accident in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The victims were said to be seated in the front of the vehicle at the time of the crash, while Joshua was reportedly in the back seat. The group had travelled to Nigeria together to spend the New Year with family.
Latif served as Joshua’s personal trainer, while Sina was his strength and conditioning coach, both playing key roles in the boxer’s career.
The incident has triggered widespread grief across the boxing community. Former cruiserweight world champion Badou Jack, a close friend of Latif, expressed his shock in a heartfelt tribute, praying for forgiveness and eternal peace for the deceased.
