A prominent Niger Delta fighter and a traditional Chief, Commander Ebis Moni has written to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to order, to avoid inciting the fresh crisis in Rivers State.

The former fighter said Wike should allow Governor Sim Fubara to complete his two tenures successfully, as Wike two tenures as a governor of Rivers State were not disrupted.

According to Moni, Wike was not the first predecessor in Rivers and other states in the federal Republic of Nigeria, adding that his persistent attempts to remove the Rivers State governor Sim Fubara in the name of not fulfilling financial agreements was shameful, and it may pose grave danger to the peace of the Rivers State and Niger Delta in general.

Moni noted that except Wike is called to order, his activities could jeopardize the Tinubu re-election bid, adding that so many predecessors in the various states of the country may have faced the worst situation from their successors but decided to be calmed and continue to maintain maturity.

He emphasised that Wike’s desperation to share Rivers People’s money to his private pockets is desperation taken too far and it was shameful.

Chief Moni said Wike desperation for power, money and political control in Rivers State showed that he lacked leadership prowess and not fit to rule or preside over leadership issues in the country.

He added that Wike needs leadership training and should be taken for psychiatric and dementia tests, noting that his appointment as FCT Minister was done in error following his poor leadership quality displayed.

Chief Moni reiterated that Tinubu should not be deceived that Wike could make him win second term election, noting that Wike good days were gone, and now have lost value and followership, and can’t even win a senatorial election in Rivers State.

He concluded that the Wike action towards Fubara is brewing fresh tension in Rivers State, and such is capable of destroying the fragile peace being enjoyed in the Niger Delta.
