Ibrahim Díaz remains at the top of the AFCON 2025 Golden Boot standings as Morocco book a place in the final against Senegal, scheduled for January 18 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Although Díaz did not score in Wednesday’s semi-final against Nigeria—won by Morocco 4–2 on penalties after a goalless draw—the Atlas Lions forward continues to lead the scorers’ chart with five goals. He is closely followed by Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen, who both have four goals, while Morocco’s Ayoub El Kaabi trails with three.

None of the leading scorers found the net in the semi-finals. Senegal’s only goal against Egypt came from Sadio Mané, marking his second goal of the tournament.

Díaz has been the most consistent scorer at AFCON 2025, netting in five of Morocco’s six matches so far. His goals came in the opening victory over Comoros, the 1–1 draw with Mali, the 3–0 win against Zambia, the match against Tanzania, and the 2–0 quarter-final win over Cameroon.

His sustained goal-scoring form has made him the tournament’s most reliable attacking threat to date.

With the final between Morocco and Senegal still to be played on Sunday, the race for the Golden Boot remains open.
