Gov. Lawal Never Sent Defection Letter, Says Zamfara APC
From Babangida Abdullahi Gusau
The All Progressives Congress APC debunked rumors of receiving any defection letter from Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State.
This is contained in a press statement issued to journalists Friday night in Gusau by the party publicity Secretary Yusuf Idris Gusau.
Malan Yusuf Idris Gusau said, the party came across a fabricated report purported to have emanated from Tambarin Gusau claiming that governor Dauda Lawal has sent a letter to the party wanting to join the APC.
“The report is malicious, unfortunate, unfounded and clearly mischievous and unprofessional in the extent to which some people can go in misleading others and causing chaos in a stable, peaceful party like the APC. The statement read.
The party said, APC has responsible channels where everything is done in a guided manner.
“The party did not receive any letter from governor Dauda Lawal as claimed through the imagination of the writer nor is the party aware of any recent moves by the governor to defect from the PDP to the APC. The statement said.
The party urged the general public especially in Zamfara State to disregard the report.
“Disregard the mischievous report. Yusuf said.
