Sokoto Distributes 102 Trucks Of Fertiliser At Subsidised Rates To Dry Season Farmers

A total of one hundred and two trucks of Urea and NPK fertilisers have been procured for distribution to Farmers across Sokoto State.
Under the arrangement, each Local Government Area is allocated two trucks of Urea and one truck of NPK Fertiliser, to be sold to Farmers at subsidised rates.
A Bag of Urea is sold at Nineteen thousand Naira, while NPK is sold at eighteen thousand Naira, strictly for genuine dry-season Farmers.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu reiterated his Administration’s unwavering commitment to transforming Agricultural production to achieve sustainable Food security in the State and Nigeria.
The Lugu Dam and Kware Irrigation projects would soon be completed to support all year-round farming activities, in line with the Government’s Nine-Point Smart Agenda, he said.
The farmers’ representatives commended the Sokoto State Government for its sustained efforts in boosting Agricultural development and strengthening other critical sectors of the economy.
