Zamfara APC dismisses anointing 2027 gov’ship candidate

Zamfara State has a trajectory history of internal party crisis with most heated in 2019 that led the declaration of the Party votes null and void by the supreme Court after INEC declaration.

Recently, an element of internal party crisis began to manifest itself where speculations are currently going round that the state party has anointed a governorship candidate for the 2027 General Elections.

The rumour which had created tension among the APC members and the supporters of the aspiring Governorship ticket coming 2027 in the state and is wide spread in the social media handlers.

Responding, the Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) debunked a viral report that it has declared a governorship candidate for the 2027 General Elections in the state.

The State APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau while reacting to the matter in Gusau described the speculations as baseless.

“All the speculations going round the state were merely fabricated but not from the party.

“This is to inform the public that the APC leadership is not aware of any decision of any governorship candidate of the party ahead of 2027 General Elections.

“I want to call on party members to remain calm.

The party structure remains intact and united,” he said.

Idris Gusau further called on the party members not to allow any rumours or unfounded information to distract their commitment towards building the party.
