‎CDS Harps On Airpower As A Decisive Force Multiplier In Counter-Terrorism Operations

‎The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede has underscored the strategic framework of operation Savannah Shied as mission intelligence-led and designed with a robust and enduring structure that combines kinetic and non-kinetic lines of effort to achieve sustainable security outcomes.

‎This was during the flag-off of Operation Savanah Shield in Ilorin alongside the Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Aneke and other service chiefs.

‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke says Operational readiness is not a one-time achievement but a sustained culture as platforms must be serviceable, intelligence actionable, and personnel must remain mission-focused at all times.”

‎He assured the unit of continued Headquarters support in logistics, training and welfare to further enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.

‎Earlier The Governor of Kwara State AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq commended the Armed Forces for their steadfast commitment to restoring peace expressing appreciation for the launch of the operation noting that residents of the state would breathe a sigh of relief pledging sustained collaboration between the state government and security agencies to consolidate the gains of the operation.

‎The dual engagements reinforced the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s unified resolve to intensify counterterrorism and internal security operations in Kwara State and across the nation.
