UK-Based Nigerian Teen Gets Life Sentence for Murder of 21-Year-Old in Bicycle Dispute

A UK-based Nigerian teenager, Jackson Uwagboe, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 21-year-old Robert Robinson in the United Kingdom.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 19-year-old was found guilty at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 10 February, over the fatal stabbing, which reportedly stemmed from a dispute about a stolen bicycle.

The court ruled that he must serve a minimum of 21 years before becoming eligible for parole.
