Fire Outbreaks Rage In Three LGAs of Yobe State

Fire outbreaks hit three Local Government Areas; Bukarti in Yunusari LGA, Fuchimiram, Kalgeri, Geidam LGA and Gumsamari in Yusufari LGA all in Yobe state

Preliminary assessment by SEMA indicates that market stalls, homes and food reserves were burnt down leaving many families without shelter, livelihoods and food supplies.

Cause of the fire outbreaks is yet to be ascertained but some people suspect the sudden returns of fast moving harmattan wind could be the facilitator.
