President Tinubu Departs Abuja For Historic State Visit to UK

President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for a State Visit to the United Kingdom as guests of Their Majesties King Charles the third and Queen Camilla.

The President in company of first Lady, Oluremi departed through the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport, Abuja at about 10 O’ clock Tuesday morning.

Chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, FCT minister among others were on ground to see off the president.

President of the senate, Godswill Akpabio is also on board with the President for the trip.

The visit is on the invitation of King Charles.

The official programme of the state visit will begin with King Charles hosting President Tinubu and his wife at Windsor Castle from tomorrow Wednesday.

President Tinubu is the first Nigerian leader to be hosted by the British monarch at Windsor Castle while the visit is the first by a Nigerian leader in 37 years.
