IGP Disu Orders Massive Deployment of Police Personnel, Assets to Restore Peace in Jos

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, condemns the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North LGA of Plateau State, which claimed innocent lives, and orders massive deployment of security assets to restore calm and apprehend those responsible.
In a statement from the Force Headquarters, the IGP commiserates with the Government and people of Plateau State, especially affected families and residents of the community.
To address the situation, the IGP deployed the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Umar Shehu Nadada, to assess and coordinate security efforts. Additional tactical teams, Police Mobile Force units, and intelligence operatives have also been deployed in collaboration with other security agencies to strengthen operations and prevent further breakdown of law and order.
He assures that operations will continue until normalcy is fully restored and has directed commanders to ensure visible policing and community engagement.
