IPF Congratulates Mulade on Emerging INC National Treasurer

Apex Ijaw Media Organization, the Ijaw Publishers Forum ,IPF has congratulated the Chief Amb. Sheriff Mulade for emerging as the national Treasurer of the Ijaw National Congress, INC in the April 13, 2026 national elections.

According to a statement signed by its President, Comrade Ozobo Austin, on Tuesday, the forum described Mulade’s victory in the just-concluded INC national election as well-deserved and a testament to his longstanding commitment to the peace, unity, and development of the Ijaw nation.

Chief Mulade, who also serves as the National President of the Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), secured the treasurer position in a keenly contested election that drew significant attention across the Niger Delta region.

The forum noted that Mulade’s track record as a respected Ijaw leader and peace advocate has earned him widespread recognition, adding that his emergence comes at a critical time when the INC requires experienced and visionary leadership.

IPF expressed confidence in his capacity to effectively oversee the financial operations of the congress, emphasising that his well-known stance on accountability, transparency, and prudent resource management will positively impact the organization.

“Your emergence is not only a personal achievement but also a victory for all who believe in credible leadership and sustainable development in Ijawland,” the statement read.

The forum further urged him to remain steadfast in his commitment to service and to use his new office to advance the welfare and collective interests of Ijaw communities.
IPF also called on all stakeholders to support the new leadership of the INC in order to strengthen the organization and enhance its role in promoting the socio-cultural and political aspirations of the Ijaw people.

Chief Mulade’s emergence is widely regarded as a significant milestone in the affairs of the INC, with many observers expressing optimism about the future direction of the congress under the new leadership.
