Troops Overpowered ISWAP Attack on Gonori, Eliminate Scores of Terrorists

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI have overpowered ISWAP terrorists attack on 120 Task Force Battalion Gonori in the late hours of Saturday, 9 May, 2026 eliminating scores of the terrorists.

In a statement the Media Information Officer Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI lieutenant colonel Sani Uba says the support from the Air Component of the theater and the Nigerian Army Aviation synchronised air-land assault that decimated the retreating terrorists.

General assessment of area revealed extensive battle damage on the attacking terrorists who suffered lot of casualties.

Several arms and bodies of the invading terrorists were recovered after the operation.

The wounded soldiers are stable and receiving medical attention.
