Atiku Declared Winner of ADC Presidential Primary in Zamfara

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary election committee Chairman and also the returning officer Engr. Muhammad Musa declared former Vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the winner of the ADC primary in the state.

Engr. Musa declared the results of the presidential primary at the state collation center held at Command Guests House, Gusau.

Engr. Musa also said, the election was conducted across 147 wards in all the 14 local government areas of the state.

The returning officer said, the total number of votes cast in the election was 61,137 as against the total registered ADC party members in the state which stands at 63,404.

“Right Hon. Rotimi Amechi scored 191 votes, Hayatudden score 446 votes and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar scores 60500 votes. Engr. Musa declared.

Engr. Namadi Musa also stated that the presidential primary election process was conducted in line with the party guidelines and the outcome was declared based on the total number of votes collated.

Engr. Namadi Musa congratulated all participants and called on the party members to remain united ahead of the general election.
