NYSC South-South Area Office 1 Director Pays Courtesy Visit to Delta Police Commissioner, Seeks Stronger Collaboration

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi John Oyeniyi, psc, acipm, mnips, has received the Director of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), South-South Area Office 1, Mrs. Okpalifo Obiageli, on a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the visit was aimed at strengthening existing collaboration between the NYSC and the Delta State Police Command, particularly in the areas of security and the welfare of corps members serving within the state.

Mrs. Obiageli was accompanied by members of her delegation during the visit, where discussions focused on enhancing inter-agency cooperation to ensure a safer environment for corps members deployed across various local government areas in Delta State.

CP Oyeniyi, alongside members of the Command Management Team, assured the NYSC delegation of the Command’s continued commitment to the protection of lives and property, as well as sustained support for corps members carrying out their national service duties.

The Police Command reaffirmed its readiness to deepen collaboration with the NYSC in order to improve security awareness and rapid response mechanisms affecting corps members in the state.
